TK Behavior Intervention Specialist (BII)

Position Overview:

Provide specialized 1:1 or classroom support to Transitional Kindergarten (TK) students (4-5 year olds) who exhibit challenging behaviors, helping them thrive in an educational setting. Apply Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to manage behavior, assist with daily living activities like toileting, and modify curriculum to meet individual student needs. Collaborate and communicate with school staff to provide support to students and document behavioral data and progress. Build a supportive and patient environment, providing physical assistance as needed, to help students develop essential skills and positive behaviors.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification (Preferred) Must have a minimum of 40 hours of training in Applied Behavior Analysis Proven experience using ABA and behavioral intervention strategies with children aged 4-5, especially those with ASD Strong understanding of child development concepts, effective classroom behavior management strategies, and appropriate safety protocols
