Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Title Clerk to join our team. If you have experience in processing vehicle titles and registrations, and you're looking to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Job Summary:

The Title Clerk is responsible for ensuring all titles are processed efficiently and accurately, adhering to all regulations required by law.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Sales Log: Enter previous day sold units into the log for tracking purposes.Break Down Deals: Separate trade, identify title availability or payoff.Complete Titles: Manage auction incoming titles, trade payoffs, and available trade titles.Title Issue Resolution: Identify any title issues and follow up/resolve them accordingly.Check Capped Deals: At this time, separate trade (complete title or log accordingly by payoff type).Verify Funding: Check and verify funding for transactions.Overnight Contracts: Prepare and overnight contracts as needed.Prepare Funded Deals for DMV: Handle in-state and out-of-state deals.Cut DMV Checks: Prepare and disperse DMV checks as necessary.Reconcile DMV Accounts: Maintain clean schedules by reconciling DMV accounts.Log Curb Buys: Enter curb buys into the system and cut checks/pay off units accordingly.Maintain Forms and Supplies: Keep stock of necessary forms and supplies for daily dealership operations.File Titles/Sold Deals: File titles and sold deals in an organized manner.Assist Accounting Office and Controller: Support daily business management tasks.Order Temp Tags: Order temp tags as needed and mail completed receipts to headquarters for expiration.Follow Up on Payoff Titles: Track and follow up on outstanding payoff titles.Mail Plates/Registrations: Handle the mailing of plates and registrations.Monthly Title Audit: Conduct monthly title audits and email titles over 30 days.Process Carmax Returns: Manage Carmax returns efficiently.Sales Log Input: Enter sold vehicles on the sales log, switch trades to R & title in the back screen.New Car Invoices: Pull new car invoices from Dealer Connect, input vehicles into DMS, and create deal jackets.Check ACV and ACH: Monitor ACV and for money coming in via ACH, notify Controller as needed.Process Dealer Trades: Handle incoming and outgoing dealer trades, including sister stores, cut checks, send MCOs, and manage Lojack removals.Inventory Management: Update the inventory spreadsheet with data from Carmax and sister stores, create stock numbers, enter into DMS, and make deal jackets.Wholesales: Cap and prepare titles for auctions and sister stores; manage entries in DMS and move to log sheet for DMV.File Jackets: Organize and file wholesale and sales jackets in boxes.DMV Drop Off/Pick Up: Handle dropping off and picking up plates, and work at the DMV as required.Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's DMS system.

Education and Experience:

Previous title experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:
