The Developer will contribute to the delivery of effective technological solutions and applications to meet Wealth Management business needs and priorities, the developer will participate in the on-time delivery of projects and ad hoc work request as needed  

 

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

 

Participate in meetings regarding user requirements and design throughout the development phase of the project Perform coding, unit testing, debugging, documenting and implementing of applications and scripts in collaboration with quality assurance Work with the Business Clients to interpret and negotiate business requirements for system development projects Maintain, support and enhance existing applications Analyze existing or proposed projects to determine their feasibility and time estimates required Assist in building functional Specification Documentation (EDD) and all other required documentation e.g. workflow design, storyboards, activity diagrams / matrices, data mapping and data validation and work with the Dev Lead / Project Manager to finalize the documentation. Conduct IST and IST regression testing on projects, as required. Keep up-to-date on new technology, applications, scripts and servers

Proficiency in Java EE (i.e. JSP/Servlets, JSTL, Expression Language, JAX-RS, JAXB, JAX-WS) Proficiency using Java frameworks (e.g. Struts, Spring, JDBC, Hibernate) and design patterns Experience using Sybase or Oracle Database (i.e. SQL, PL/SQL) Proficiency with web technologies (i.e. XSLT, XML, XSD, HTML, JavaScript SOAP and RESTservices) Experience using build automation tools like Apache Maven Proficiency with UNIX/Linux shell scripting Experience with JBoss Enterprise Application Platform / MQ and Eclipse / Tomcat Knowledge of Cloud technologies Experience building API services Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain pleasant working relationships Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and employees of the organization Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to write technical/design reports in a variety of formats Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent problem solving skills, have vision and innovative approach to computing based solutions and ability to convey these ideas. Be creative, self starting, results-oriented, and highly motivated individual with good analytical and problem solving skills in order to apply this knowledge to assist in the resolution of business problems. Must possess an excellent understanding of current systems development techniques, including requirements specification and testing methodologies, real-time analytical tools, and keep current with rapidly changing technology
