Contributes to the overall success of the GHRT - Payroll, Time & Attendance and Compensation in Canada / globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
In this role you will:
Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Independently resolve complex, multi-faceted problems to meet the business needs, by applying their HR and technological knowledge to the design of methodologies, models, and/or systems solutions. This includes conducting research and analysis, accurately and clearly defining user requirements and processes, participating in the reengineering of the HR business and technology process workflows and liaising with the users. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting D2D Incident Management, process documentation and be required to complete configuration and training through WorkForce Software Academy. Manage multiple small HR technology projects and/or manage specific sections of large projects to implement technology solutions to HR business problems. This involves planning and scheduling resources, developing detailed project plans and monitoring progress against planned objectives. Participate in the systems implementation process by interpreting business requirements into technical specifications, systems analysis, documenting detailed reporting requirements, configuration of HR vendor software and providing post-implementation support. Participate in the review of application testing strategies for assigned projects/initiatives to ensure the planned testing is comprehensive and consistent with the business requirements. Support application testing by analyzing defects to provide clarification of technical specifications and resolution. Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. The incumbent will be required to carry out specific ad-hoc requests in supporting the WorkForce Software technology team and HR business partners (eg. Presentations, training, etc) Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
