Business Solutions Associate
This role is a key part of the Global Banking & Markets Engineering team, focused on delivering system solutions for Global Wholesale Operations – Confirmations. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between business and technology, driving impactful solutions across complex systems.

In this role you will:
Provide direct support to Global Wholesale Operations users, resolving business and technology issues with urgency. Align IT systems and processes with business needs, focusing on automation and critical information requirements. Lead the implementation of business line solutions for projects involving complex applications and integrations. Define system scope and objectives based on deep understanding of business requirements. Participate in all phases of the SDLC, acting as a liaison between developers and business teams. Provide timely project updates, identify risks early, and proactively mitigate them. Offer expert knowledge of cross-functional and business processes. Collaborate with technology teams and vendors to ensure solutions meet business needs and align with Scotiabank’s IT architecture standards.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
Technical Skills
2+ years as a Business Analyst in IT-related environments (ideally at banks). Fluent in English (B2 level). Familiarity with common data formats (XML and JSON) SQL (MS SQL, Oracle) – data analysis, modeling, and engineering. Experience with documentation and collaboration tools: JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Office365. Hands-on experience working in an Agile delivery environment. Experience serving as a Scrum Master or Agile team facilitator. Proficient in writing business and technical documentation, including flowcharts and design documents. Experience across the SDLC, including integration and implementation of complex systems.Soft Skills
