Overview:

 

Position Title: Tissue Test Technician

Business Title: Tissue Test Technician

Location: J&J Cincinnati, OH

Reports to: Supervisor

FLSA: Hourly 

 

Hours Worked: Typically, Monday through Friday, twenty-four to forty-hours per week.

 

Compensation Range: $21 an hour (e.g., the job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, and actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as locations, education, experience, and skillset).

 

Position Summary:

The Tissue Test Technician is responsible for preparing and analyzes tissue samples for microscopic examination, ensuring accurate results for diagnosis and research, by performing tasks like processing, staining, and maintaining laboratory equipment.

Read and comprehend Tissue Lab protocols and procedures to be executed individually and as a team Execute daily tasks such as lab set up, receipt of the tissue, tissue preparation, test equipment set up, and lab closure Read procedures on and understand how the equipment operates Become familiar with tests performed in the lab Be trained and demonstrate ability to perform such tasks as, tissue measurement, proper gluing and holding of the tissue and the responsibilities associated with those activities Showcase knowledge of good documentation practices to record tested data (handwritten or electronic) that will later be used for written reports. Develop your skills by cross training in other lab spaces (e.g., mechanical, materials, etc.) Demonstrate professional and productive behavior that is consistent with our Absolute Values. Maintain Trust, Confidentiality, and continued Safety Practices. Contribute positively to the culture and morale of The Company and not be disruptive with publicly stating concerns.  Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma.  Preferred Associate Degree in a STEM related background Certification as Sterile Processing Technician 0-1 years experience working with laboratory equipment such as autoclaves, sterilizers, ultrasonics, autowashers 0-1 year experience working in a highly regulated industry with good documentation practices (GDP) in a cGMP environment
