Job Description

The Tire Building Operator must be able to operate high investment Commercial Radial Truck Tire building equipment for the assembly and placement of all components necessary for the construction of "green" Commercial Radial Truck Tires.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Must be able to read specs, know all tire components used in the assembly, and effectively communicate with set-up men and supervision.Load and remove stock cassettes and booksMake minor machine adjustments to ensure proper stock length and placementComplete quality checks on product including material splices, standards, and corrective actions using metric measurements and formula.Read specifications, use hand tools, tape measures and other gauging devices to monitor current and ongoing product quality. React quickly to equipment downtime or other extraordinary condition, and must notify supervision whenever such conditions occur.Perform actions with a control panel interface, both automatic and manualExecute basic sequencing process on Tire Build machinesPossess and apply problem solving skills in case of machine cycle issuesCommunicate with other inbound and outbound operators, production operators, other crew members and supervision.Drives forklifts and operate other material handling equipment as needed and is responsible for the proper care and safe operation of the material handling equipment.

 

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

HS Diploma GEDAbility to work 12 hour rotating shifts – days, nights, and weekends.Successful completion of a minimum Work Keys:Applied Math 3Graphic Literacy 3Workplace Documents 4  

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT

At least 1 year prior experience in manufacturing Experience using PIV

THE ENVIRONMENT

Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as company issued/approved steel toe shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.  as needed in the required areas.  The job is within a non-climate-controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise.The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting and operating machinery, with comprehensive training provided.
