Job Title: TIG WelderJob Description

As a TIG Welder, you will utilize work orders and blueprints to ensure all components are assembled to meet specifications. You will mark weld points and positions using various tools to ensure accuracy. Your role involves selecting, positioning, aligning, and securing jigs and fixtures to machines using precise measuring instruments. You will perform repairs and reworks on defective or non-compliant welds and remove completed workpieces using hand tools. Surface preparation is crucial, using equipment such as grinders and drills. Adhering to company policies, safety, and quality standards is mandatory. You will TIG weld stainless and carbon steel between 1/16th and ½ inch, connecting tubing to ensure leak-free radiators.

ResponsibilitiesUtilize work orders and blueprints for accurate assembly.Mark weld points and positions of components using measuring tools.Select and position jigs and fixtures accurately onto machines.Perform necessary repairs or reworks on defective welds.Remove completed workpieces using hand tools.Prepare surfaces using hand-operated equipment like grinders and drills.Adhere to all company policies, safety, and quality standards.TIG weld stainless and carbon steel between 1/16th and ½ inch.Connect tubing by welding small u-shaped tubes with precision.Weld thin materials in challenging positions, including blind spots.
Essential SkillsProficiency in TIG welding with light gauge stainless steel.Ability to work with small parts and thin metals down to .35.Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.1 year of TIG welding experience in one company.
Additional Skills & QualificationsIdeally, schooling in welding or 3-4 years of experience to supplement.Knowledge of welding techniques including MIG welding.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52832.00 - $64563.00/yr.

Competitive Pay: Pay range $25.40 - $31.04/hr
