Miller Brother Staffing Solutions is seeking qualified candidates for several TIG welding positions with a company in Erie, PA. The openings are on 1st shift with a pay range of $18-20/hour.
TIG Welder
Shift: 1st shift 6:00AM-4:30PM Monday-Thursday, poss OT on Friday.
Pay Rate: $18-20/hr
***Candidates must pass a TIG welding test & MUST own a Welding Helmet***

Position summary:
Perform various types of TIG welds on Aluminum and to a lesser degree thin gauge steel in the production of custom railing and fencing systems, protective screens and ornamental steel. Use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal productsTasks:
Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind and/or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding. Remove rough spots from workpieces, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers. Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment. Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits. Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, shielded metal arc, resistance welding, and submerged arc welding.
