A snapshot of the day

As a member of an international development team working on software development for automation, your tasks would include developing the SE Industrial Process and Module Control Suite basis and application software framework (EAD business) based on the TIA or PCS7 family, as well as designing HMI process screens for SCADA system like IA Ignition. You would work within an agile / Scrum process environment to ensure progress is made, problems are addressed, and the project is successfully completed. Effective communication with the international team is a crucial aspect of your role, and your goal is to contribute to the development of high-quality software that meets the needs of the SE industry.

How you’ll make an impact

Development of software for PCS 7/TIA/PCS Neo for EAD business and application functionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.Utilize Figma to create and maintain design documentation and user interfaces.Designing HMI process screens based on the SCADA system (WinCC, Ignition)Develop and maintain technical documentation for automation systems.Work independent on backlog items.Provide training and support to end-users of automation systems.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation systemsSetting up Lab Environment for testing, development and helping the agile teams for clarifications, PoCs, and innovation and help Development, Engineering and commissioning teamsSoftware and/or Hardware engineering using SIEMENS engineering tools like COMOS, SIMIT

Master’s/bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, Computer Science, or related fieldExperience of 8+ years in Industrial automation systems in the areas of R&D product Development, Testing, technical consultingWith your communication and consulting skills, you act as a technical contact person and convince our customers of our technical solutionsExpertise in DCS, Drives, Power Electronics and PMS (power management systems), Safety SystemsExtensive understanding of ISO/IEC standards for Safety, IT/OT security and Technical DocumentationKnowledge on project-specific preparation of offers and develop technological concepts and functional specifications for complex automation solutionsExtensive knowledge of SCL/CFC and IEC 61131 programming languages, S88 standards, S95 StandardsUnderstanding of Python, HTML, CSS and JavaScriptUnderstanding of web development frameworksExperience with FigmaStrong communication skills in English (both written and verbal)Experience working in international development teams
