Job Summary

The STARE Lead Threat Systems Engineer is responsible for the identification, development, specification, and management of threat requirements across STARE products. The position is responsible for the following: coordination of threat requirements, communications, participation in working groups with the Integrated Fires and associated components, development and coordination of modeling and simulation (M&S) requirements, execution, and delivery of M&S products and tools. Responsibilities include working/guiding verification, validation, and accreditation between STARE products and production centers, coordination between STARE products and Intelligence Management of threat support package development. The position will communicate current and evolving threat states as it relates to product development strategies to STARE Program and Product Management.

The STARE Lead Threat Systems Engineer provides STARE level interface with designated Army Threat Agency (per AR381-11) as well as the National Intelligence Centers and Warfighter community.
 

Roles and Responsibilities

This individual will support program success through integration of current and projected threats in system/requirements development, performance assessments, program planning, upgrade concepts, and countermeasures over the lifecycle of the system. See Job Summary.

Other roles and responsibilities include:

Represent STARE in Integrated Fires (IF) Systems Engineering Threat Group and other IF threat related meetings/working groupsFacilitate stakeholder agreements on threat target and related threat support packages

Basic Qualifications

Must have an active SECRET clearance with ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearanceA Bachelor of Science in engineering, physics, or mathematics from an ABET accredited institution is required.5+ years’ experience required

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with defense systemsExperience in high fidelity threat/target model development
