The Compliance Specialist plays an integral role within Bath and Body Work’s Global Ethics and Compliance function and will report to the Director, Third Party Compliance. The Global Ethics and Compliance function is responsible for the development and implementation of the organization’s anti-corruption program, which includes due diligence activities with respect to BBW’s use of external parties. The position requires experience with due diligence activities with a focus on anti-corruption compliance and/or corporate intelligence.

ResponsibilitiesComplete due diligence procedures related to BBW’s third-party vendors, including but not limited to; information gathering, risk assessments, sanctions and denied party screenings, research, analysis and evaluation of information and documentation and communication of observations and recommendationsMonitor the status of third-party relationships; conducting ongoing due diligence as requiredPrepare written memoranda about due diligence activities/findingsAssist in delivery of compliance trainingComplete sanction screenings and analyze vendor payment activityHelps drive continuous improvement in program efficiencyAssist with implementation of anti-corruption initiatives and program improvementsSupport other compliance activities, including training and education, monitoring and audit procedures, investigation procedures, or other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

3+ years’ experience in anti-corruption compliance and/or due diligence/corporate intelligence/finance or related fieldStrong verbal and written communication skillsBilingual is a plusAdvanced IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SAPDetail oriented; strong organizational and project management skillsTrack record of consistently producing accurate and high-quality workAbility to effectively manage competing priorities with compressed timelines in a fast-paced environmentCross-functional team player with ability to develop and maintain positive working relationshipsSelf-motivated, self-starting creative thinkerConducts all work in an ethical, honest, professional and confidential mannerAbility and willingness to take on additional responsibilitiesEducationBachelor’s DegreeMBA or advanced degree, CPA, CFE or other anti-corruption certifications preferred
