Responsibilities

The technologist performs the Thermoregulatory Sweat Test that provides information on the degree and pattern of sweat loss due to autonomic nervous system disorders. The technologist works alone and is responsible for proper patient preparation, maintaining accurate oral and skin temperatures during the procedure, photographing and accurately charting the patient's sweat pattern, and maintenance of the computer data base comprised of clinical and research information and results.



Qualifications

LPN or high school graduate with an emphasis in math and science and health care experience. Previous patient contact is highly desirable. Must have basic computer skills and hold current certification in Basic Life Support.
