Thermal Propulsion HiL Test Specialist - Quality Assurance
Job Description

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Oshawa three times per week, at minimum.

Core Responsibilities: 

Collaborate with Technical Architects and Software Developers to develop comprehensive test plans aligned to program deliverables for thermal management EV/PHEV systems

Develop and execution of test plans using SIL, HIL, and in-vehicle techniques

Develop automated tests for HIL and Vehicle environments

Participate in software and requirement reviews enabling testable software products

Participate in test plan reviews and contribute to the team’s testing strategy

Develop test scenarios to characterize system and hardware performance

Generate test reports and present results to software and requirements teams

Assist with documenting standards and best practices for consumption by product development teams

Assist with manual testing responsibilities, such as regression and feature testing, when tests cannot be automated



Additional Job Description

Required Skills and Experience

3+ years’ experience developing and executing test cases in various environments

Proficient in automotive test tools (INCA, CANoe, VehicleSpy, ControlDesk, DSPACE)

Proficient in automotive communication technologies such as CAN, LIN, SPI and automotive ethernet.

Experience with EV/PHEV Thermal systems, including refrigerant and coolant hardware

Experience with test automation and continuous integration tools

Experience with scripting tools in Python

Ability to read and review complex algorithms in C and Simulink

Experience with testing in vehicles and simulated environments

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment, interfacing with GM engineers globally

Valid G Drivers license.
