As a Therapy Supervisor/Physical Therapist, you will:
• Independently manage caseload responsibilities across all units, including the ED, Observation, Med-Surg units, MBU, NCU, ICU, and IMCU, including complex, critical care patients
• Assist with administrative functions of the Department, including Charge Therapist responsibilities, acting in an interim Leadership role, completing staffing/scheduling functions, monitoring supply utilization, and staffing levels based on patient volumes
• Coordinate Therapy services, acting as a resource to Therapy staff, Providers, Nursing, Care Navigation, Leadership, and other departments/services as needed
• Assist Therapy staff in the scheduling and prioritization of assessments, reassessments, and treatments to facilitate turnaround times, patient experience, and throughput; collaborating with other department Leadership as needed
• Monitor Therapists' provision of care across all units, including the ED, Observation, Med-Surg units, MBU, NCU, ICU, and IMCU, providing feedback and support as needed
• Assist with reviewing and coordinating the resolution, response to, and tracking of patient and family complaints, providing appropriate interventions and service recovery as needed
• Monitor and report on key process and outcome metrics related to promoting improved functional levels through the provision of compassionate, collaborative, timely, and appropriate services to facilitate safe discharges
• Provide on-call support to the Charge Therapists during off-hours with the provision of care and prioritization of issues
• Develop, review/revise clinical policies/procedures and discipline-specific competencies; validate competency level of staff for the provision of evidence-based, quality care
• Complete new hire onboarding, performance check-ins, and staff performance evaluations as delegated. Includes counseling and mentoring staff therapists around clinical performance and compliance issues.
Qualifications include:
• Clinical bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the therapy discipline/3 years in an acute care setting
• Demonstrated clinical competence in acute care across all inpatient units, ED, and Critical Care
• 2 years of experience as a Charge Therapist in the respective discipline
• Prior experience serving on hospital-based committees or work groups (Infection Prevention Committee, Stroke Committee, Critical Care Committee, MPR, IPPC, etc.).
• Active Maryland PT License
• Nationally recognized clinical specialty or certification (i.e., CBIS, Vestibular, Clinical Specialist [ABPTS], CSRS, etc.)
• Six Sigma White Belt Certification
• Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
• Demonstrated skills in Patient Experience and Employee Experience
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in multiple applications: EMR system, Workday, UKG, Minitab, others.

Pay Range:
$96,058.56 - $145,995.20If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
