The Opportunity

As a Heart Failure Therapy Development Specialist you will be  responsible for support our clients in Romania and Bulgaria. This is a field-based role requiring travelling across the assigned area on a daily basis (up to 80%).

The ideal candidates location would be Bucharest.

Main purpose of the job

The Therapy Development Specialist will drive market development and provide commercial and clinical support for Abbott’s Heart Failure (HF) portfolio within the assigned region. This role focuses on training, education, and collaboration with customers and distributors to ensure optimal adoption and utilization of HF technologies.

Responsibilities:

Promote Heart Failure products in collaboration with regional distributors and support existing and prospective customers.Plan and execute market development activities, including referral meetings, workshops, and participation in congresses or events with healthcare associations and patient groups.Monitor account performance, develop customer plans, and identify opportunities to improve clinical and commercial outcomes.Build strong relationships with hospital administrators, physicians, and clinical staff.Assess customer training needs and deliver product and therapy education in partnership with Marketing and Clinical teams.Provide field insights on market trends, customer feedback, and product enhancement opportunities.Support tradeshows and professional events as required.Report product performance issues and complete all required documentation in a timely manner.

Requirements:

University degree (preferred  in a medical discipline)Experience in the medical device industry required; strong knowledge of heart failure, cardiovascular implantable devices, and capital equipment highly preferred.Min 3 years with progressively responsible sales experience or project management in a complex matrix environment.Commercial experience within a multinational healthcare organization desirable.Strong motivation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain composed under pressure.Customer‑oriented mindset with strong organizational skills and a proactive, self‑starter mentality.Ability to interpret and communicate sales, financial, technical, and clinical data.Experience working with distributor markets.Fluent or advanced English proficiency and native local language requiredAbility to travel extensively within the assigned region (up to 80%, including overnight travel) with no restrictions on international travel.
