Responsibilities

Seeking a dependable and motivated Rehabilitation Therapy Aide to support our multidisciplinary therapy team in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting. This role plays an important part in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care by assisting therapists with treatment preparation, maintaining a safe therapy environment, and supporting daily operations. Duties include but are not limited to: transferring patients, helping patients to and from different locations for programming, light clerical tasks, other duties/projects as assigned, and infection control cleaning and maintenance of therapy equipment. Positive attitude, self-starting initiative, flexibility, and good communication skills a must.

The Therapy Aide/Therapy Tech provides care under the direction of a therapist, this position exists to assist patients in the rehabilitation process through provision of requested activities.  Prepares and maintains equipment and physical environment for daily activities.

 

Employees in this position will:

 

Perform patient related tasks assigned by therapist, including but not limited to:

Assist therapists with patient preparation and treatment setupSafely transports patients to and from therapy sessions and groupsMaintain cleanliness and organization of therapy gym and equipmentClean and sanitize equipment according to infection control standardsMonitor therapy areas for safety and report concerns promptlyAssist with clerical tasks, supply management, and documentation support as neededMaintain inventory of therapy equipment and suppliesSupport scheduling coordination and daily workflow needsDistributes equipment to new patients according to patient specificationsEnsures maintenance of cleaning logs and temperature logsParticipates in facility specific Core Program meetings and demonstrates understanding of patient satisfaction outcome dataPerform other duties as requested Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent required.One or more years of healthcare experience as a rehab aide preferred.Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
