Monday - Friday

 

 This position starts at $18/hour and increases based on education and experience

Under Direct Supervision of Therapists:

Assists Therapists with transferring patients to/from all surfaces and equipment appropriate to the facility/department Assists Therapists in donning/doffing all adaptive equipment specific to the facility/department.Assists Therapists with positioning patients for standing with appropriate orthotic/prosthetic devices and equipmentAssists Therapists with other patient related treatment activities as appropriate and providing equipmentAssist Therapists with patient related activities including equipment set-up and patient positioning in preparation for therapy session as outlined in the State Practice ActMaintains the department and department equipment in a clean and orderly condition.Prepares department each morningPicks up equipment during treatment hours and at the end of treatment dayMaintains department and disinfects equipment throughout and at the conclusion of the treatment day according to hospital infection control policies and proceduresReports defective equipment to Therapy SupervisorFollows and assists with facility infection control policies and risk management proceduresAssists the Therapy Supervisor with identification of support staff needs for patient careAssist Therapists in therapeutic dysphagia and feeding program as requested and supervised by the speech therapists Qualifications

Minimum

Direct patient care experience requiredHigh school graduate or equivalent required Additional Data
