This role is ideal for wellness professionals who are committed to excellence, personalized care, and creating deeply relaxing and memorable experiences for our guests.Working in an elegant and tranquil environment, the Spa Therapist plays a key role in delivering Hyatt’s signature wellness philosophy, ensuring each guest feels cared for, renewed, and at their best.About the RoleAs a Spa Therapist, you will provide a wide range of massage, facial, and body treatments in line with Hyatt brand standards and the spa’s service menu. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences through technical expertise, genuine care, and attention to detail, while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, professionalism, and product knowledge.Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience Treatment DeliveryPerform massage, facial, and body treatments according to established service guidelines and current licensureEnsure all treatments meet guest expectations and reflect luxury spa standardsAssess guest needs and identify any contraindications prior to treatmentMaintain a calm, attentive, and guest‑focused presence throughout the serviceBegin and end all treatments on time, ensuring a seamless spa journeyService Excellence Product KnowledgeMaintain complete knowledge of all spa services and products offeredUnderstand product ingredients and confidently explain their benefits to guestsRecommend appropriate retail products for home useSuggest additional treatments that may enhance the guest’s wellness experienceHygiene, Safety OperationsApply universal precautions and safety standards at all timesClean and disinfect all equipment and treatment areas daily according to proceduresEnsure work areas are clean, organized, and set up correctly before each serviceInform the Spa Director or management of product needs or equipment issuesAdministration Team CollaborationCreate and maintain client cards and treatment notes, when applicableComplete all assigned side duties accurately and on timeAttend all scheduled meetings and professional training sessionsReport any incidents or accidents promptly to managementSupport team collaboration and contribute positively to the spa environmentPerform other duties as assigneda { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb;}tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6;}tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5;}Grand Hyatt Barcelona

QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDValid state license in massage therapy or other required spa credentialsPrevious experience in massage therapy, esthetics, or body treatmentsCustomer service experience, preferably within a luxury spa or hotel environmentStrong ability to build rapport and connect with guestsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenComfort and confidence in product recommendationsWell‑organized, efficient, and able to multitaskEnergetic, enthusiastic, and professional in appearance and demeanorStrong team player with a positive and flexible attitudeAvailability to work when the facility is open, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPhysical Requirements Work EnvironmentAbility to stand for long periods and perform medium physical workAbility to lift and/or move up to 25 poundsRequired physical abilities include balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motionsUse of spa tools and products including massage oils, hot stones, hot packs, paraffin heaters, body treatments, and disinfectantsWork conditions may include exposure to odors, fumes, vibrations, steam, water, and hot temperatures (including hammam environments)Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.Care Connects Us – Do Our Values Speak to You?At Hyatt, we care for people so they can be their best.
