The ZEISS Women Award in the Digital Entrepreneurship category

This category recognizes those who have thought outside the box and thus demonstrated a particular flair for trends, needs or innovation in the digital and IT context. We are looking for applicants with digital technology driven ideas, development or realization of business opportunities in the form of new solutions, services or platforms. Are you establishing a new digital business model? Or are you in the middle of founding a start-up? Show us your entrepreneurial spirit. This prize will be awarded to a visionary woman who takes bold paths.

Abstract: 
Illustrate the innovative character and impact of your work in a way that will be understood by readers outside 
your area of expertise. The total length of the document should not exceed two DIN A4 pages.
To assist you in creating a strong abstract, consider reflecting on the following guiding questions:


• What is the overarching vision for your innovation?
• What problem are you addressing/solving?
• How does your product, service, or idea provide a solution?
• Who are your target users or customers? Describe who will benefit the most and why they need it.
• What sets your idea apart from others?
• What’s your business model? Explain how you plan to generate revenue and sustain your idea over time.
Consider sharing any measurable impacts or successes your innovation has achieved so far. This could include user adoption rates, feedback from stakeholders, or any awards or recognitions received.
 

Motive description: 
Tell us about your personal intrinsic motivation behind the project in a personal message. The total length of the document should not exceed one DIN A4 page.


Your motive description could include:


• Who or what inspired the development of your idea?
• What do you hope to achieve in the long term?
• Why does this idea hold personal or professional significance to you?
• The impact or change you hope your work will contribute to.
• The story or context that first sparked your interest in this topic.
• In what capacity did you lead or support the research project, and what impact did your involvement have? 
• Reflect on your journey as a visionary woman in the digital and IT space. What drives your entrepreneurial spirit, and how do you continue to take bold paths in your work?
