Radar Systems Field Engineering will be staffing an Operations and Safety Lead (or Ops Lead) in support of the KSA THAAD Program. The Ops Lead will report to the KSA THAAD Site Manager and oversee the Collective Training Site operations and Radar team activities from arrival in country through deployment and movement from temporary to permanent tactical sites.  

This position will require a US Expat to forward deploy to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) under the terms of a Long-Term International Assignment Memorandum of Understanding (LTIA MOU) and must maintain and Active Secret Clearance.  

The selected candidate will participate in all aspects of system and operational support to include a key role in communicating with and developing long-term relationships with our customers and clients while serving as a key point of contact with host nation and US Government agencies. Duties include but are not limited to subcontract management for system operations, tests, engineering, quality, safety, logistics, facility, administration, and maintenance.  

The Ops Lead will be expected to support the introduction and management of Environmental, Health and Safety programs for the KSA THAAD Program. In this role, the selected candidate will support training of the team on Raytheon, OSHA and other EH&S regulatory compliance subjects. The selected candidate is expected to utilize existing experience working with U.S. and foreign military customers in and around the AN/TPY-2 Major End Items and THAAD tactical sites. This position is responsible for ensuring The KSA THAAD personnel’s compliance to applicable safety and environmental standards and may include the need to provide training for internal and external stakeholders.  

The Ops Lead will be responsible for providing leadership to a customer-focused team committed to increased quality and productivity. In accordance with organizational goals, the selected candidate will provide directions on activities and is expected to motivate team members, facilitate team meetings, provide guidance to team on development, performance, and productivity issues and monitor team budget in absence of the Site Manager.  

What You Will Do

Review all radar operation and maintenance activities and provide recommendations to KSA THAAD Program Leadership, the Site Manager and the CLS Radar teams. Perform independent assessments, audits, and special inspections of site activities associated with the radar system as required. Coordination and planning of the deployment and receiving of seven THAAD assets and CLS Radar teams. Ensuring Raytheon directives, policies, and procedures are implemented and enforced to the fielded teams Managing accurate reporting of metrics preparation Budget recommendations for required health and safety equipment  Risk and incident report generation  Interpreting technical schematics, energy control procedures and hardware operating manuals  

What You Will Learn

The selected candidate will develop advanced knowledge and proficiency in AN/TPY-2 management, concepts of operation, maintenance, and procedure implementation. The selected candidate will develop a network and establish sound communication with the Customer, the end user and the FSRs assigned to support the THAAD KSA mission. 

Qualifications You Must Have  

Typically Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience. Experience working with OSHA and/or EPA standards in a military or civilian environment    Professional certification in safety or related field, (ASP, CSP, CIH, RS, CHMM)  At least five years’ experience supporting the troubleshooting of AN/TPY-2 systems. 

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience in the planning, production, and management of complex systems. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements. Demonstrated excellence in past work performance. Must possess strong technical writing and oral communication skills. Logistics experience and ALCS knowledge Military service background

production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
