Text Design and Fonts Assistant

The role
Key responsibilities:
Text Design
Coordinate design work for the insides of our books to our in-house team and external freelancers. Attend meetings and take notes from editorial to brief internal and external designers. Raise purchase orders and contracts for commissioned work. Discuss budgets with Editorial and freelancers and help to negotiate fees. Ensure production schedules are kept up to date and that all work is delivered on time and on budget.
Fonts
Help guide our Editorial, Art, and Production teams in using our font management systems and tools: Provide guidance on our font management systems Provide advice on license queries Help suggest alternate typeface options when necessary. Action all PRH font access requests, ensuring legal compliance and maintaining accurate records. Manage user accounts Control and import third party fonts to the font management system. Audit teams and licences as necessary.
What you’ll bring
Essential criteria:
Interest in typography and desire to learn. Able to work under pressure and across multiple fronts. Good communication and collaboration skills. Organised and able to work independently.

Salary
£27,500 plus benefits.

Hybrid working

For this role we expect the successful candidate to work from our London-based office a minimum of three days per week through a three-month probation period, reducing to two on completion, and we offer the remaining days to be worked remotely.
