In the role of Area Professional Services Manager, you’ll be a key leader in the Texas Gulf Coast operation, providing leadership and mentoring across our organization. We'll count on you to:
Be responsible to the Area Manager to develop, coordinate, monitor and improve technical competencies of area staff and products to meet client needs and market driversLead and monitor development and training of area staff in technical and business competenciesIn concert with Area Business Group Managers, oversee workload balancing and coordination of work-sharing, to ensure qualified staffing of project teamsAssist with daily operations, such as project oversight, management reviews, financials, and driving profitability at the project levelLead quality assurance efforts to implement QA/QC Program activities striving for continuous improvementSupport and assist Area Business Development Leads in driving client management plansLead and monitor activities for continuous improvement including development and use of technical standards, procedures, best practices and lessons learnedLead and participate in project reviews and support project teams with management of claims and lossesLead the Area mentoring initiativeOversee technical and digital delivery evolution, in collaboration with subject matter expertsWork with AM to streamline and coordinate business processes consistent with Area and corporate policiesOversee and ensure implementation of quality, standards, and best practicesBe involved in community activities and serve as an outward facing HDR AmbassadorCollaborate with Area operations, market sectors, business classes, and delivery leadersParticipate in Area strategic planning and plan implementation across all business groupsSupport area activities related to hiring and retaining key staffServe as a champion for BGX opportunitiesSupport communication and coordination within all business groupsServe as the local leadership representative for quality and support the implementation of the Quality Management SystemSupervises the Area Quality Records Coordinator, overseeing the administration ofArea’s quality local processes.Work collaboratively with Regional and National Professional Services Directors to align Area Operations and Project Delivery with HDR and Industry Best Practices.Serve as Technical Director and/or Quality Control Manager for large, complex projects/programs.Perform other duties as needed in conjunction with the Area ManagerPreferred Qualifications
Experience leading and managing the Delivery of Transportation Engineering ProjectsRequired QualificationsBachelors degree in a related field A minimum 15 years' of experience Maintains professional or engineering registration and has extensive related technical expertise Experienced in management and development of diverse teamsWorks cooperatively with operations managers, technical staff and marketing managers on professional services-related effortsCommitted to quality, improvement and HDR valuesAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We Believe
