Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesIn our global AutoChem business unit, we develop synthesis, sampling and reaction analysis tools for scientists in pharmaceutical and chemical industries. We provide scientists the information they need to deliver life-changing products. For our location in Nänikon-Greifensee we are looking for a Testing Team Leader 80 – 100% (all genders)
In this role, your responsibilities would include: Lead, mentor and develop our manual testing team (hardware and software testing, three direct reports) based in NänikonDefine, develop and own the AutoChem test automation strategy and roadmap in collaboration with the software team - from unit testing to E2E testing for software developed for cloud, web, desktop and embedded applicationsOversee the design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts for acceptance and system tests, in collaboration with the software test automation team from the Mettler Toledo Software Development Center (Shared Service Center in India) responsible for their implementation and maintenanceDevelop and maintain the test infrastructure (hardware and testing pipelines, monitoring tools, etc.)Recommend and drive quality improvements and enhancements to testing processes and tools, promoting efficiency, compliance, and a risk-based testing approachCollaborate closely with software development, product management and requirement engineers to understand the intended software behavior and contribute to the implementation of suitable test solutionsWhat You Need to SucceedFollowing requirements are necessary for this role: You have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Chemistry, Engineering or related field; or a combination of education and experience You bring several years of relevant professional experience in designing and supporting test automation for complex software products; experience in testing web and cloud based solution is a plusAdditionally, you have several years of leadership experience as a line manager and project leaderYou have professional programming skills in C#/.NET and scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python, with experience in CI/CD pipelines and AzureDevOpsYou are experienced in software testing tools, particularly ReqnRoll/Gherkin, SpecSync, Selenium or Playwright and in implementing performance and security testing Knowledge of best practices and tooling for agile methodologies, automated testing and code quality.
