We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future. Our comprehensive portfolio meets the growing technical requirements of today’s and tomorrow’s power grid! The EA Business Unit in Wendell, North Carolina, which is its U.S. headquarters, focuses on electric-vehicle charging, photovoltaic inverters, medium-voltage power distribution equipment including packaging and services, and solutions, including automation. Additionally, assembly of electric-vehicle chargers, low-voltage motor control centers, and retrofit and replacement circuit breakers occurs at the facility. **We are looking for a Test Supervisor - 1st Shift - 6a - 2:30p. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.** We are seeking a **Test Supervisor** to lead and oversee quality control test technicians at our **Wendell, NC manufacturing facility** . This role manages test technician resources and ensures robust, compliant, and scalable production test systems that support product quality, factory efficiency, and long-term reliability. Reporting to the **Quality Control Manager** , the Test Supervisor provides technical and people leadership for manufacturing test operations in alignment with the plant strategic plan. This role supports Siemens’ overall solution and sustainable growth strategy by ensuring alignment with corporate standards and future-state manufacturing objectives. **You’ll make an impact by:** Leadership & People Management + Directly supervise, mentor, and develop Test Technicians and assigned test resources. + Provide clear technical direction, performance feedback, and development planning. + Foster a strong culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. + Support hiring, onboarding, and training of test personnel. Test Strategy & Oversight + Define and own the production test strategy to meet product, customer, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SAE, UL, IEC). + Review and approve test requirements inputs to product feature specifications. + Ensure consistent, robust test plans, procedures, and configuration control. + Serve as escalation point for complex test system or production issues. Production Test Systems + Oversee the design, development, implementation, and qualification of production test systems. + Ensure test systems meet accuracy, repeatability (GR&R), traceability, and throughput requirements. + Maintain secondary or contingency test solutions to support business continuity. Budgeting & Capacity Planning + Own CapEx planning and budgeting for production test systems. + Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to procure and commission test equipment. + Plan test capacity to support current and future production volumes. Data & Continuous Improvement + Ensure effective production data storage, traceability, and reporting. + Analyze test data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. + Drive initiatives to improve test efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance product quality. + Partner with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to resolve systemic issues. Cross-Functional Collaboration + Collaborate with Design Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and external partners on test requirements and performance. + Support customer, regulatory, and internal audits related to test systems. **You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:** **Basic Qualifications:** • 5+ years of experience in test systems development and/or manufacturing testing with demonstrated leadership responsibility. • Proven ability to lead technical teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders. • Strong data analysis skills with experience using test data to drive improvements. • Ability to travel internationally as needed. **Preferred Qualifications:** • Experience with MV and LV switchgear, LV Motor Control Centers, and LV Switchboards. • Experience supporting multiple factories or partner manufacturing sites **About Siemens:** We are a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare.
