Test Technician Specialist, Sr
Position Summary/Essential Functions:
The Senior Test Technician Specialist performs complex evaluations, testing, troubleshooting and repairs on production and customer returned electronics assemblies and subassemblies. Create detailed reports on customer return units and assist with Quality and Engineering with failure analysis reports to identify root cause. Assists in the creation and maintenance of repair procedures as required in support of product or process improvement initiatives. Extreme focus and hi-level attention to detail is a must. RF testing and theory are essential to the job as well as performing the vital duties listed below.
Responsibilities:
Qualified candidates will have 8+ Years of direct experience in Environmental, RF, Microwave and RADAR compliance testing. Tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies developmental and production electronic components, parts, equipment, systems and subsystems by executing the essential functions listed below:
• Extensive knowledge of RF/Microwave communication subsystems, filters, antennas, radar, motors, and electronic control systems is required.
• High performing individual capable of troubleshooting to component level on complex electronic circuits.
• Must be able to perform evaluations and repairs on field returns that include detailed failure analysis reports.
• Performs Environmental, Vibration, Shock and Acceleration testing to MIL Standards.
• Vast experience with RF/electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power meters, RF generators, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc...
• Requires strong oral/written communication skills and ability to take direction from written and verbal instructions, drawings, and Acceptance Test Procedures.
• Required to work independently and with interdepartmental teams.
• Develop understanding of operation and parametric behavior of RF components.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S./BSc) from four-year College or university.
+ 8+ years firsthand experience in Environmental, RF, Microwave and RADAR compliance testing.
+ A degree in Engineering or technical field is preferred.
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
+ Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.
+ Position requires strong teamwork/cooperative abilities, as well as the ability to work independently.
+ May interact with other department members within the Company, such as Quality, Production Control and Engineering personnel.
+ Must be able to operate solder irons, cutters, wire strippers, crimpers and heat guns.
+ The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
+ US Citizen and Secret Security Clearence required.

+ Pay Range: $37.3/hr to $62.2/hr

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California, New York, Washington. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations.
The wage range for this role considers allowances for a number of factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, licensure/certifications, education, and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $37.3/hr to $62.2/hr.
