Test Technician
**Job Title: Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will set up test equipment and conduct tests according to specifications, utilizing both mechanical and electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and micrometers. This role involves troubleshooting and performing failure analysis on analog and digital circuitry malfunctions down to the component level. You will provide detailed written failure descriptions with root cause analysis to production and engineering teams. Adherence to company guidelines, policies, and safety procedures is essential. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate test equipment according to specifications. + Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry malfunctions to the component level. + Provide detailed written failure descriptions with root cause analysis for production and engineering. + Follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to company guidelines and safety procedures. + Assist other departments with tasks in various production cells or locations. + Maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring compliance with safety rules. + Ensure regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in troubleshooting and failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry. + Knowledge of electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies. + Ability to perform maintenance and alteration tasks according to technical data. + Experience with drawings, procedures, work instructions, inspections, audits, and corrective actions. + 6 months to 2+ years of testing experience in actuators and controls. + Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation. + High School Diploma required; BA/BS preferred for leadership roles. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Mechanical assembly experience. + Testing and troubleshooting of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). + Optional certifications: J-STD, IPC-610. **Why Work Here?** Join a team-oriented culture with a focus on safety and employee well-being. Optional overtime is available up to 10% per year, depending on production needs. Safety is a priority, with safety glasses and steel toe shoes provided. The assignment is temporary to hire over approximately four months. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Simi Valley, CA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.24 - $24.24/hr.
