Daikin is seeking an Engineering Technician II who will work in support of HVAC development programs, technician installs, tests, calibrations, and repairs of electromechanical, and electronic measuring. This can also include supporting aspects of recording and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards. Location: In office, Staunton, VA.
Shift: 3pm-11:30pm
What you will do:
Perform laboratory testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements, and the ISO 17025 standardPerform scheduled instrument verification checks and periodic facility maintenanceSet up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instrumentsIdentify and report nonconformities and abnormal testing conditionsEnsure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are upheld at all timesMaintain a working knowledge of EH&S safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe mannerMaintain effective communication with laboratory and project teamsObtain fork truck training/license, scissor lift training/license, or refrigerant handling certificationsPerform test unit setup according to lab procedures and test request requirementsCreate records of testing activities and document them according to laboratory proceduresImprove laboratory activities on a continuous basisWhat’s in it for you:
