Principle accountabilities
1. Testing strategy
• Reviews the IT testing strategy policy in partnership with solution providers. 2. Testing Guidelines
• Owns the compilation of risk-based testing guidelines.
• Publishes testing best practices.
• Develops KPI’s to understand what successful testing looks like
• Develops KPI’s to understand what efficient testing looks like 3. Testing training
• Compiles testing training to business counterparts.
• Delivers testing training in collaboration with the organizations training capability. 4. Testing environment reviews
• Reviews the adequacy of testing environments.
• Makes recommendations how to enhance the testing environments to allow for near real testing scenarios. (automated testing, AI, robotics)
• Owns the business cases to enhance the testing environments. 5. Testing
• Ensures that LBC’s and CR’s are sufficiently clear to define criteria which can be used to develop a testing scenario
• Ensures that the testing guidelines are applied to ensure sufficient levels of testing
• Ensures that the agile delivery allows for suitable and multiple engagements for successful interim testing.
• Reviews testing cases to ensure that the testing strategy, approach and guidelines have been complied with.
• Makes recommendations to Change Control whether the testing was sufficient and can be recommended for deployment in production. 6. Continuous improvement
• Conducts postmortems to understand any gaps in testing application.
• Apply continuous improvement to improve testing rigour. 7. Key Performance Areas

Experience, Knowledge and Skills
• At least 10 years working experience, of which 5 years’ experience in financial services payments, IT
• Comfortable to exceed in a matrix environment
• Experience and knowledge of principles and methodologies related to Organisational change, training development, and communication management
• Excellent active listening skills
• Able to work effectively at all levels in an Organisation
• Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal Qualifications
• Post-graduate Degree (4 years) in Financial Services /Finance / Engineering / Physics / Mathematics is a requirement.
• Additional postgraduate degrees or qualifications will be a distinct advantage
