**The McKinney, TX, Manufacturing Engineering department supporting the Surveillance Mission Area division of Raytheon is seeking a Test Equipment Engineer.** The test equipment supports different Electro-optical Infrared (EOIR) system variants produced in the McKinney, TX Consolidated Manufacturing Center. You must be self-motivated and will work with a cross functional team including manufacturing engineering, factory management, and operations assembly and test.
**What You Will Do:**
+ Support daily factory needs to maintain equipment uptime such as preventative maintenance and troubleshooting and resolving test equipment failures.
+ Maintain and improve factory metrics to reduce cost and improve factory capabilities
+ Participate in investigations of failure trends for root cause and implementation of corrective actions.
+ Carry out appointed tasks with minimal supervision.
+ Engage and collaborate with supplier(s) for test equipment purchases and troubleshooting needs.
+ This is a second shift role (2 PM and 10 PM) and standard workdays starting Monday through Friday.
+ Occasional weekend support with options for 9/80 work schedule (9/80 is every other Friday off).
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
+ Relevant experience is _2 years_ in each of the following:
+ _Experience reading drawings, datasheets, and/or system specifications_
+ _Hands-on experience maintaining/repairing test equipment_
+ _Experience troubleshooting test equipment issues_
+ _Experience working in a factory environment_
**Qualifications We Prefer:**
+ Experience in multi-discipline collaboration to mitigate systemic issues.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of optical performance in EO/IR system
+ Demonstrated abilities to execute impactful improvements within rapid time window
+ Familiarity with fiber optics
+ Background knowledge on testing instrumentation, such as with oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, targets and power supplies
+ Basic electrical engineering knowledge such as understanding of Op-Amps, Multiplexers, ADC/DAC, etc.
+ Basic mechanical engineering knowledge such as mechanical mechanisms (i.e. gears, actuators, etc.)
+ Proficiency in generation of procedures/instructions

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
