A brighter future is possible with _you_ . **Job Summary** We are currently seeking a **Test Engineering Intern – On Person Screening (OPS) for Summer 2026 (May 18- early Aug)** . This is an **on-site** position located in **Egg Harbor Township, NJ** . Battelle’s Infrastructure Security & Protection Division provides research development test and evaluation services to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Transportation Security Laboratory (TSL). The qualified candidate for this position will support the Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E) for On-Person Screening (OPS) program. **Responsibilities** + Support system testing, collect test data, and scoring of results + Support maintenance of application specific software to improve test efficiency, quality assurance and/or ease of operation + Assist test subject, i.e. mock passengers to ensure proper test case execution + Support test planning, data analysis and reporting **Key Qualifications** + Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in **Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or Computer Science.** + Must be graduating in **Spring 2026 (April/May)** as this internship is intended to lead to full-time employment immediately following successful internship completion. + Candidate should have strong oral and written communication skills. + Candidate should be highly motivated and self-starters with a strong desire to learn. + Sole US Citizenship with eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance and to obtain and maintain DHS Suitability. **Preferred Qualifications** + Knowledge and experience in test planning, instrumentation, set up, operation, conduct, analysis, and reporting + Knowledge and experience in developing and configuring data automation tools such as database systems + Prior experience working for TSA or DHS + Active DoD Secret security clearance + Local candidates preferred **Preparing You for Career Success** The Battelle intern and co-op program is a great way to increase experience both on a team and as an independent contributor.
