Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add a Test Engineering Intern located in our Austin, TX site.

Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, the student will assist with daily engineering tasks while learning, collaborating and working alongside Engineers and cross-functional teams.

What a typical day looks like:

Work with fellow Test Engineers to bring up Highly complex AI GPU's. Perform hands-on debugging, validation, and system-level failure analysis of next-generation server and rack systems within a high-mix, high-ambiguity manufacturing environmentProduct debug and characterization to determine product performanceIntegrate and test liquid cooling systems within the server racks, verifying proper installation and function of pumps, cold plates, radiators/chillers, tubing, and fittingsPerform detailed failure analysis on server hardware and cooling subsystems to identify root causes of test failures or performance issuesWork closely with diagnostic technicians on the production floor to troubleshoot down to the component level when burn-in or functional tests flag errors, and drive rapid resolution of hardware, firmware, or configuration problemsApply strong problem-solving techniques and use diagnostic tools (logs, Linux command-line utilities, etc.) to isolate issues in both electronic components and the liquid cooling loop
Work with cross functional teams to address corrective actionsAttends team meetings as requestedUses tools to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software.Support floor test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or softwareResolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.

Student qualities we’re seeking for this internship assignment:

Senior or Junior pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems or related field from an accredited universityInterest in working in a manufacturing environment where products are manufactured at large scaleStrong Linux CLI proficiency, hardware integration expertise, and advanced troubleshooting skills across L6, and L10, test stages.Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skillsHighly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skillsPrevious industry-related internship experience is a plus!
