Job Summary:
As an intern at Crane Aerospace & Electronics, you will develop knowledge about the business through exposure to a functional area (such as manufacturing, engineering, and lean principles) while focusing on developing the skills necessary for success by assisting employees with day-to-day job assignments. Interns may be assigned to additional training or project work. Crane Aerospace & Electronics’ internship program is intended to provide students with the opportunity to practice business skills learned in school while gaining work experience.
Essential Functions:
Handle projects or some of the work normally performed by an entry-level, professional employeeProvide support for assigned departmentWork with other members of the department to learn how the department functions within the companyWork with other employees in different departments to learn how other departments operate within the companyAttend seminars and meetings as assignedAny other task assigned by supervisor or management
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: Completed classes in business, manufacturing, supply chain or engineeringKnowledge: Knowledge/proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft PowerPoint Programming in one of: MATLAB, LabVIEW, SQL, C++, or Python. Demonstrated coursework or experience in statistics and higher-level symbolic math.Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Effective interpersonal skills in a team environment; Project-oriented and able to multi-task. Self-motivated. Comfortable in a fast-paced learning environment.Education/Certification: Actively pursuing a BA or BS degree from a four-year college or university; Minimum accepted GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scaleEligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Work Hours:
40-hour work week.
