As a Test Engineer at Mercer, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and support of the automation test strategy to ensure the delivery of a high quality software that meets user requirements. This is a hands-on role that requires the candidate to work collaboratively in a squad following a Scaled Agile development methodology. You must be a self-starter, delivery-focused, and possess a broad set of technology skills. Candidate needs to be able to minimize the adverse impact of bugs and should be able to do Root-cause analysis for the business processes and prevent reoccurrence of the bugs.

Ensure that business requirements for both Functional and Non Functional areas are gathered accurately, understood, and have clear understanding of the Business Acceptance criteriaForm a Test Strategy that includes Shift left Test automation as the key principleEnsure 100% test coverage for all Functional and Non Functional business, may work with the Non Functional test Engineer to ensure test coverage for Non Functional business cases.Hands-on; Creating automated Test suites for Integration, Regression including API, Data validation both back end and front end and edge scenariosTesting AI/Gen AI business applications. Demonstrate usage of Gen AI in tooling & AI driven insights reporting. Creating/Reusing AI utilities/components for TestingIdentify non automated test cases to be performed manuallyWork closely with a Lead Software Engineer to define code review, Unit test and acceptance test strategyFollow good agile practices that are foundational to product deliveryTroubleshoot and resolve Test scripting issuesLog and track defects and provide regular updates to the squad on code and product quality, perform periodic defect trend analysisWork closely with Software Engineers and User Acceptance team to resolve bug and quality issuesWhat you need to have:
Strong understanding of Test Engineering and Quality Assurance best practices, tools and policiesExperience testing AI/Gen AI business applications. Demonstrate usage of Gen AI in tooling & AI driven insights reporting. Creating/Reusing AI utilities/components for Testing.The ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical colleagues in a cross-functional environmentProven track record of successfully delivering Quality software solutionsExperience or knowledge of working with Agile at Scale, Lean and Continuous Delivery approaches such as Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development and Infrastructure as CodeExperience in selenium tools and Configuring Selenium Test Environment (Ex: Eclipse IDE, Java, Selenium WebDriverIO and TestNG etc…). Involvement in Selenium Environment SetupKnowledge of API testing would be a plusFamiliar with Automation Framework Design and ImplementationUnderstanding of CI/CD and DevOps practicesGood communication skillsStrong Self-starter and active squad contributorExperience of testing software across a variety of languages, technologies, and platforms.Technical Skills Required:
