Job Summary:

KBR’s role will be to support J56 SMPES Implementation cutting-edge research, development, and technical analysis efforts for US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM)/J56 and the Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Center (NEC). This role involves advancing mission planning and execution capabilities for strategic deterrence through systems engineering, Agile/DevOps practices, and continuous integration/delivery methodologies. KBR has a requirement for a Jr. Test Engineer II to Support USSTRATCOM J56 by providing independent testing on NPES Recap. Duties include (but not limited to) evaluating software and hardware plans, designs, coding, testing delivered software, and quality assurance practices on Government and contractor maintenance and modernization efforts

This is a full-time position located on-site at Offutt AFB in Omaha, Nebraska.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure that project plans are aligned with, and satisfactorily address, user defined CONOPS and validated/updated requirements, and coordinate any requirement updates between the program office and the functional communityAs an Agile team member participate in requirements traceability/validationParticipate and conduct validation of delivered NPES Recap softwareProduce operational test plans and proceduresSupport J37 during NPES operational activities for Technical Performance Evaluations (TPE), Nuclear Procedures Inspection (NPI), Integrated Mission Area Training (IMAT) for both exercise and world eventsSupport the Deficiency Review Board process by producing Deficiency Reports found during NPES Recap software testingContinuously analyze NPES Recap software and recommend improvements

Work Environment:

Location: On-Site at Offutt AFB in Omaha, Nebraska. Must be local to the Omaha NE areaTravel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%Working Hours: Standard, full time

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field and typically require at least 5 years of Experience with operational test & evaluation (OT&E) strategies, plans, and proceduresExperience in conducting detailed testing, including regression testingTest or exercise planning and management experience is required, including extensive experience with developing test or exercise plans, schedules, and associated documentation and executing these during tests or exercises.Ability to coordinate testing and/or exercises across multiple units in different geographic areas.Proficient with use of MSOffice family of software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Capable of conducting agile testing and evaluationActive Top Secret security clearance (TS/SCI)
