Test Engineer Reston, VA - 1 day a week onsite Type: Contract Compensation: $61/HR We're seeking a Test Engineer to support a fast-paced Agile Scrum team. You'll focus on validating ETL workflows, automating tests, and ensuring system reliability across API and UI layers. Strong Selenium and Java skills are essential. Key Responsibilities: + Validate ETL processes and MongoDB data changes + Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts (Selenium required; Playwright preferred) + Perform API and UI testing (manual + automated) + Build/manage CI/CD pipelines + Track/report issues using Jira + Participate in code reviews, requirement analysis, and Agile ceremonies + Write and maintain technical/test documentation Required Skills: + 3+ years of experience in QA or software development + Strong programming in Java; Python is a plus + Experience with Selenium, APIs, and data validation + Familiarity with MongoDB, CI/CD, and Agile environments + Exposure to Playwright, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and TDD/BDD is a plus Education: + Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field + Or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
