Test Engineer

Engineering service supplier has an immediate need for somebody to write test procedures for emissions. Candidate can either be an Emission Calibration Engineer or an engineer who has written test procures. Can work either in Chelsea or the Chrysler Tech Center.

Description

Develop comprehensive test procedures to validate proper triggering of the Check Engine Light across vehicle systems.

Define and implement enable conditions, test logic, boundary conditions, and decision logic for fault detection.

Ensure vehicle systems collect relevant environmental and operational data (e.g., temperature, altitude, speed) upon fault activation.

Validate that diagnostic systems correctly identify and report fault codes (e.g., transmission sensor failures reporting accurate P-codes).

Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure diagnostic tests are robust and aligned with customer requirements.

Ensure all diagnostic data and procedures meet CARB compliance standards.

Work cross-functionally with teams at Chelsea Proving Grounds, and/or Chrysler Tech Center.

Utilize control systems knowledge and MATLAB modeling to support logic development and validation.

•\tProblem-Solving: Troubleshoot issues related to GPF performance, regeneration, and emissions.

•\tCollaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engine controls, emissions, and aftertreatment engineers.

•\tDocumentation: Prepare clear and concise technical reports and documentation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
