Test Engineer

We are looking for an Associate Test Engineer to join our Cincinnati, Ohio team! Test Engineers at the Curtiss-Wright Nuclear Division QualTech NP Cincinnati are responsible for ensuring the products and services supplied to the nuclear industry meet the rigorous requirements of customer purchase orders, specifications, industry standards and regulatory guides.  This is accomplished through development of testing and analyses that requires critical thinking and sound engineering judgement.  You must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Creativity and latitude are expected to resolve problems of diverse scope. You will play a vital role within the assigned business segment supporting project schedules and customer deliverables.  You will work in a team environment with the support and guidance of management. This position requires interaction with customers, suppliers, operations, quality assurance, and sales to support both domestic and international products and services.

Your Challenge:

Utilizing inputs from the customer purchase orders, specifications, industry standards and regulatory guides, develops test procedures and analyses to establish critical characteristics and associated acceptance criteria for various components and systems.

Designs and supports testing, collects data and interprets results.  Generates final reports and quality data packages verifying acceptance of the items or systems.

Evaluates failures and establishes recommended corrective actions.

Interacts and collaborates with interdepartmental teams to support successful completion of the work, including:

Technical input and review of customer proposals with sales team

Establishment of parameters and criteria for procurement team

Hands on support and troubleshooting of testing activities with test technicians

Resolution of comments from Quality Assurance reviews and inspections

Initiaties and supports innovative ideas to continually improve processes, resources and opportunities within the organization to drive growth and profitability.

Work collaboratively with all team members to achieve project objectives including safety, quality, and customer schedule.

Maintain effective customer & vendor communications, ensuring that all requirements and expectations are addressed effectively.

Efficiently and effectively work towards goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple constraints.

Work safely in accordance with company policy at all times.

What You Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in related engineering field, Electrical Engineering.

2-3 years of related experience in a testing environment preferred.

Demonstrated knowledge and fundamental understanding of a wide variety of electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment and systems.

High attention to detail.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.

Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office experience.
