Test Engineer
**Job Summary** As a member of the Platform Test Engineering team, you'll develop and automate tests for device Firmware/Software using AI tools for improved efficiency. Collaboration with vendors for testing and integration is key. Strong SDLC adherence is a must. Seeking creative, self-motivated individuals with a passion for technology and delivering results for NetApp **Job Requirements** + Strong background in Linux Operating systems Internals and X86 based device drivers (e.g., I2C, PCIe, SAS & SATA, NVMe, USB, GPIO, IPMI, BMC, BIOS & Boot Loader, SPI, NOR / NAND Flash, NVRAM, TPM, Battery FW, PSU FW, FAN FW's, etc.) + Hands-on knowledge in Firmware and microcontrollers specific testing + Computer hardware and architecture knowledge, including processor, memory, motherboard, and I/O subsystem, understanding of data structures, and standard programming practices + Proficiency in automation (Python, Perl, etc.) + Knowledgeable in SDLC life cycle workflow and processes + Understanding of system and integration testing processes + Interaction with vendors and performing FW (BMC, BIOS) qualification before acceptance + Ability to develop test tools + Strong communication, presentation, leadership, and follow-up skills + Ownership and drive to complete tasks + Aptitude for learning new technologies + Ability to work on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of situations or data + Excellent team player with the ability to interact with cross-functional teams. **Education** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. + 4-8 years of professional experience in software development. 131727 At NetApp, we embrace a hybrid working environment designed to strengthen connection, collaboration, and culture for all employees.
