Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to develop and execute test procedures for infrared focal plane arrays (FPAs) and to ensure their performance meets program objectives and specifications. The role involves maintaining detailed test reports, interacting with design teams, and supporting customers with technical expertise.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute IR FPA test procedures against program performance objectives and specifications.Maintain and develop test reports and databases summarizing FPA performance.Bring up new Readout Integrated Circuits (ROICs) and Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) for infrared imaging and laser sensing.Interact and coordinate with IC design team to validate and characterize new ROICs and ASICs against design specifications.Characterize infrared process evaluation chips and manage results reporting.Conduct wafer probing of ROICs and FPAs.Interact with and support customers using ROICs, FPAs, and cameras.Essential SkillsExperience with test system development, including developing tests.Proficiency in programming, with a strong preference for Python.Experience with PCB test/debug.Experience with electrical design and engineering.Experience with test system development.Experience with wafer probe station operation and ROIC and IR FPA screening.Ability to analyze and understand data related to ROIC and IR FPA performance.Experience with creating reports and documenting tests.Additional Skills & QualificationsBS degree and 5+ years experience OR MS degree and 3+ years experience.Experience with imaging sensor characterization and infrared radiometry.Experience with liquid nitrogen and vacuum systems and components.Experience with printed circuit board design and debug.Experience with FPGA systems; programming is a plus.Strong PC usage skills.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail.Ability to work with defined or ambiguous requirements to complete tasks with minimal supervision.Organized and methodical.Work Environment

This position involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role requires proficiency with various test equipment such as oscilloscopes and familiarity with imaging sensors. The work environment supports interaction with both internal design teams and external customers. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently are essential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $57.00/hr.
