Test Engineer
Job Title: Test EngineerJob Description As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the engineering lab area and ensuring that all test equipment is in optimal functional order, including performing calibration when necessary. You will analyze and define methods and processes for evaluating new and existing products and perform tests as per specified directions and procedures. Responsibilities + Maintain lab facilities ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and policies. + Assist engineering staff with testing, including validation testing, and conduct lab testing. + Report and document test results as specified. + Collaborate with design engineering to interpret customer validation requirements and national regulations, developing required DVP&R. + Create technical project plans for new or upgraded capital test equipment. + Coordinate and communicate with vendors to maintain test lab equipment. + Provide project status and risk assessments to engineering personnel. + Complete all required documentation for lab requests. + Fabricate prototypes and test equipment as necessary. + Assist in the selection, acquisition, and setup of new test equipment. + Develop and implement test standards and maintain the documentation system for test standards. + Schedule lab work based on engineering priorities to meet effective timing. + Ensure company quality system procedures are followed as they relate to specific job functions. + Maintain adequate levels of technical proficiency in subjects relevant to the scope of work. + Perform other related duties as assigned or required. Essential Skills + Experience with test procedures, test fixtures, mechanical engineering, and test engineering. + Proficiency in vibration testing and analysis. + Knowledge of test lab, LabVIEW, electrical, mechanical, and test equipment. + Experience in test development and scripting. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related field. + Five years of experience in a test lab environment. + Ability to read and interpret prints. + Basic electrical knowledge. + Familiarity with diesel engine operation. + Operation of vibration equipment. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Work Environment You will be working in a large performance testing lab alongside one other test engineer currently. The environment is equipped to support high-level testing projects. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
