We have an exciting opportunity for a Test and Verification Engineer to join the team with Bastion, a teammate company.
The Test and Verification Engineer for the UPRITE project will\:
Generate assembly and test procedures. Assemble and test hardware. Troubleshoot hardware and rework/reassemble as necessary. Design, assemble, and evaluate test fixtures as necessary. Coordinate with test facilities and generate documentation for external tests (i.e. EMI, Acoustic, AC Inverter, Vibration, Thermal Cycle). Assist Project Manager/Systems Engineer to coordinate with matrix organizations for analyses and verifications. Generate verification documentation and review design memos, test reports, etc. Work with NASA Engineering to manage the assessment of certification products. Facilitate across various stakeholders to achieve integration of program objectives. Maintain a professional relationship with the NASA customer and other NASA support contractors. Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the space hardware field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, and material selection. Knowledge of systems engineering principles and associated documentation. Previous experience with NASA flight hardware testing and certification. This project is Class 1E and has some tailoring to the standard processes. Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings. Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision. Experience working in a team environment. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.Requisition Preferences\:
Working knowledge of NASA and JSC standard practices and requirements including safety, fault tolerance, and unique disciplines. Experience with the development of space systems requirements documents including Verification and Validation documents. Experience with the design, assembly, verification, testing, and operation of hardware. INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional certification. Python familiarity for testing of software/firmware.
