Job Summary:

KBR has an exciting new opportunity for a J56 SMPES Implementation and Requirements Management to support cutting-edge research, development, and technical analysis efforts for US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM)/J56 and the Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Center (NEC). This role involves advancing mission planning and execution capabilities for strategic deterrence through systems engineering, Agile/DevOps practices, and continuous integration/delivery methodologies. Contractors will be engaged in evaluating and enhancing the survivability, interoperability, and reliability of strategic weapon systems while contributing to planning documents, test and evaluation strategies, and rapid technology fielding efforts. This is a unique opportunity to work on mission-critical NC3 software and systems that shape national defense strategies and collaborate with diverse DoD and government partners to drive innovation and operational excellence in support of the strategic enterprise.

Work Environment:

Location: On-Site at Offutt AFB in Omaha, Nebraska.Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%Working Hours: Standard, full time

Key Responsibilities:

Review, prepare, and analyze a variety of documentation: Planning, requirements, design, support, and test. Also, to include source code, configuration files, and engineering resolution support.Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.Acquiring and licensing software by obtaining required information from vendors, recommending purchases, testing, and approving products.Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issuesPerform Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to ensure that developed software meets and complies with defined or standardized quality specifications.Work as a member of an agile software development team. Performing some mix of the below tasks as directed by the government team lead or engineering lead.Elaborate high-level feature/function descriptions into detailed technical designs and tasks, in collaboration with users and government lead engineers.Perform other software engineering and documentation tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS w/SCI eligibilityEducation: Bachelor's degreeYears of Experience: Minimum 15 years relevant experience to include:Minimum of 5 years supporting the DoDKnowledge of NC2 JCIDSExpertise in the Software Acquisition Pathway for rapid development and integration practicesSMPES Implementation Plans and Requirements ManagementExpertise in Deterrence Policy

Desired Qualifications:

NPES Recapitalization program experienceUSSTRATCOM operational experience is highly desiredTest design and post event data collection and analysis experience is highly desiredDeveloping and documenting test plans and procedures, conducting testing, and evaluating and documenting results
