Job Summary:
The Extended Care team is responsible for growing and maintaining a select portfolio of Cardinal Health Brand products in long-term acute care, in-patient rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, home care and hospice markets. Cardinal Health products include gloves, needles & syringes, electrodes, VTE prevention solutions, nutritional delivery enteral feeding, skin & wound management. The Territory Sales Representative – Extended Care reports into a Region Sales Director, Extended Care and is responsible for developing, communicating, and implementing business plans to achieve strategic target business results.
Territory: Ideal candidate will be based in Detroit, Michigan or surrounding area.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage successful key relationships within extended care customers to achieve sales goals in assigned territory.
Work collaboratively with internal cross functional business partners including Marketing, Manufacturing, Distribution, Compliance, Quality, Finance, and Legal.
Build consultative relationships with clinicians, supply chain partners and end users. Maintain positive working relationships with Distribution and GPO partners.
Present product features and benefits to clinical call points utilizing proper sales technique (probing, qualifying, needs assessment, supporting and closing).
Conducts data analytics and analyzes the market penetration on products both in new and existing clients. Responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generate leads, close new business and convert accounts from competitor products
Complete all administrative tasks & training including expense reports, pipeline, maintain accurate SFDC records, market feedback, etc.
In-service accounts by demonstrating product applications, functionality and use - on rare occasions may include the start of a night and weekend shifts
Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directed. Attend all regional, divisional and sector events including National Sales Meetings and Region Meetings
Maintain required sales activity level - examples include the number of expected visits & calls, number of products presented/account, etc.
Assist distribution order support and coordination as needed. Assist customers with back-orders and other related service issues
Maintain knowledge of the current industry/competitive landscape including, GPO's, healthcare economics, reimbursement, competitors, competitive products, etc.
Travel within assigned territory to call on accounts including overnight travel. Maintain active, in-person presence at top accounts
Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience preferred
Documented history of sales quota attainment/exceeding sales goals (2+ years) preferred
Proven ability to identify, connect with, and close new business; build consensus
Excellent phone, written, and in-person communication skills
Ability to understand complex contracting and develop sound financial business case preferred
Ability to build strong trusting relationships internally & externally
A valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 States with a clean driving record
Ability to travel domestically and within region often involving overnight stays and stays up to one week in duration
Customer/Vendor credentialing is required (this may include vaccinations). More details will be provided if you are selected for an interview.
Ability to work remotely from home requires a dedicated, quiet, private, distraction free environment with access to high-speed internet. We will provide you with the computer, technology and equipment needed to successfully perform your job. You will be responsible for providing high-speed internet.
Anticipated pay range: $120,000 - $123,000 (includes targeted variable pay)
