Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesMettler Toledo is looking to hire a Territory Sales Representative for its Columbus, Ohio location responsible for upselling existing industrial service contracts through prospecting and nurturing by utilizing the telephone, e-mail, internet, and other available technologies. Offering straightforward consultation, support, and solutions to prospective customers along with enhancing existing customer contracts based on their changing business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop a high level of technical expertise regarding the applicable Industrial service offerings. Understand and be able to effectively communicate the service solutions we offer that will best fit the customer's business needs.Meet and exceed agreed upon objectives including but not limited to sales revenue, productivity, and quote conversion rate.In-depth knowledge of all internal applications related to service sales and marketing, including but not limited to SAP CRM.Proactively employing professional selling skills in the pursuit of new service business and accurately managing and recording data generated from these efforts. Manage incoming calls from customers related to our service solutions and activity follow-ups.Qualify Service Sales leads by assessing need, budget, and buying authority. Effective nurturing of leads; building relationships by conducting ongoing, informative dialog that helps qualified prospects who are not yet sales ready. Manage all outbound calls, activities, and sales transactions in CRM on a daily basis.Provide centralized phone support for end users as needed.Provide complete solutions and collaborate with the field, when necessary, for service inquiries.Other duties may be assigned.What You Need to SucceedBachelor’s degree in a science field from an accredited college/university is preferredAt least 2-3 years of any combination of customer service, sales, or marketing related experience is required; Inbound or outbound call center experience, and teleselling skills training.Competency using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and other general PC skillsCompetitive nature with the desire to excel in a fast-paced sales environmentThe ability to work both in a team and independently and be able to connect with various personality types The ability to multitask in an open work environment and maintain a high energy level with strong customer focus
