We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.** **We’re excited to offer a newly created opportunity for a** **Territory Manager (Primary Care)** **to join our Abbott Diabetes Care team (Sydney metro based).** **Job Responsibilities:** **The Territory Manager (Primary Care) is expected to successfully perform the following responsibilities with direct input and guidance from the line manager.** **Implement specific sales strategies engaging with key customers within the Primary Care setting including General Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Practice Managers, Diabetes Educators, other Primary Care Allied Health Care Practitioners and Retail Pharmacy accounts, to achieve sales outcomes.** **Initiate the development of close relationships with stakeholders within Primary Care key accounts and develop specific key account business plans** **Undertake sales calls with target customers and clinics.** **Ongoing knowledge of the competitor environment. Including knowledge of competitor product offerings identifying competitor product strengths and weaknesses** **The position is accountable for all sales and promotional activity in a defined sales territory in the primary care setting with General Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Practice managers, Diabetes Educators, Retail Pharmacies and other Allied Health practitioners involved with community based diabetes care and the Primary Care setting. There will be a focus on identifying opportunities, a hunger for acquiring new business, while growing existing key accounts.** **Minimum Education:** **Tertiary qualification - Degree or diploma in a healthcare discipline (e.g. Science), commercial or other** **Desired Minimum Experience:** **Relevant industry experience in Primary Care setting (highly desirable)** **Established knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical industry and other community based health care institutions** **Previous experience in a sales role preferably in the health care/pharmaceutical/medical devices industry** **Key account management experience in the primary care environment and experience within the hospital/tertiary care setting also advantageous.** **Desired Minimum Skills Required** **Excellent communication skills** **Proven ability to achieve sales targets** An Equal Opportunity Employer Abbot welcomes and encourages diversity in our workforce.
