The Opportunity

As a Territory Manager Electrophysiology (EP), you will build strong clinical and commercial relationships with key stakeholders in each of your accounts, leveraging Abbott support or offers where appropriate. You will support regional EP business strategy, via focus hospitals, product focus areas and delivery of your monthly, quarterly and annual account plans. You may conduct marketing surveys, effectiveness reviews of calls/sales activities, and territory analysis. You will develop and maintain both new and established accounts, and at times you will assist marketing personnel on advertising and promotional sales strategies. 

What You’ll Work On

Drive revenue and apply a data-driven sales approach to increase market share; assess the size of new opportunities and develop market penetration strategies to establish new accounts

Understand the dynamics of the local healthcare market and competitors’ strategies impacting the accounts within the assigned sales territory

Establish and grow network with internal and external stakeholders, hospital staff, government agencies, medical groups, and other sales representatives

Demonstrate an appropriate knowledge of Abbott EP portfolio and how to differentiate from competition; create needs and develop the market based on clinical data; understand local reimbursement mechanisms and their influence on purchasing decisions

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant therapies, Abbott products, clinical practices, regulatory requirements, quality standards and business policies

Analyze and prepare sales statistics, prepare reports and forecasts, and perform required administrative sales duties, e.g., filing expense account reports, scheduling appointments, and making travel plans

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent and typically two plus years of sales or clinical support experience with proven experience influencing customers in a healthcare-related setting, ideally in medical device industry; experience in cardiology or cardiac medical devices preferred

Aptitude to analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices

Familiarity with medical device industry policies, operations and procedures

Ability to collaborate with a wide variety of customers and colleagues, working with and directing others effectively by using behavioral styles and adapting communication

English, French and Dutch

Strong negotiation and presentation skills

Willingness to travel 70% of the time
