Transportation Territory Manager – West Region

We are looking for a Territory Manager for Pilgrim’s who will be responsible for the operational oversight and execution of transportation functions across Pilgrim’s US poultry business. They will drive a team of transportation specialists to ensure the logistical and operational excellence of the transportation team supporting Pilgrim’s West Region. This role will be based at our Corporate Office in Greeley, CO.  

 

Responsibilities:

Lead the day-to-day operation and development of the West Region Transportation TeamBuild relationships with sales team, plant personnel, carrier base, receivers and other key business partnersManage freight rate negotiations for dedicated carrier and spot businessMaintain transport carrier performance- on time, service levels, capacity commitments, communication, etc.Manage drop trailers and dedicated fleetsEducate team on current industry trendsMonitor performance on a weekly, monthly and annual basisOn-call responsibility on evenings and weekends as necessaryOther duties assigned 

 

Qualifications:

Three or more years’ relevant industry experience preferred.Three or more years supervisory/leadership experience preferred.In-depth knowledge of US domestic transportation. Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to multi-taskProblem solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Works well under pressure with time sensitive products.Solid decision making and problem-solving skills.Microsoft Office applications, including: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OutlookAs a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.

 

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays; 401(k): eligible after 90 days of employment including company match which begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting scheduleBase salary range of $65,000 - $80,000Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive programCareer Development: Our company is dedicated to supporting professional growth by offering continuous learning opportunities and a focus on career growth through various learning and development programs.
