Join a leading company in the terminal operations industry as a Terminal Operator III, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient receipt and shipping of products at our Sarnia, Ontario facility.

Role Overview

Perform activities related to the receipt and shipping of all products and additives at the site. Ensure the reliability of equipment and the supply/delivery system. Operate, maintain, and repair site facilities in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Participate in site safety, security, environmental protection, and quality control activities. Assist maintenance personnel with repairs to electrical and mechanical equipment. Participate in after-hours callouts for troubleshooting operational and mechanical issues. Support the Site Manager with assessments, inspections, and initiatives. Provide direction, training, and mentoring to junior employees and contractors. Respond to breakdowns and equipment failures as required. Contribute to budget preparation and cost reporting. Assess staffing requirements based on experience and forecasted demands. Coordinate functions related to rail, marine, pipeline, lube, weigh scale, truck, tank farm, and aviation operations.

Skills & Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of measurement practices. Strong computer skills including Excel and Word. Excellent understanding of product quality requirements. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrated leadership skills. Valid Driver's License. Excellent mechanical aptitude.

Education & Experience

Secondary/High School Diploma or college-level degree or equivalent work experience required. Minimum 100% of assigned Stage 3 Training per GMT Standards. Experience as a Terminal Operator.

Pay & Benefits

Overtime paid at double time for hours worked over 40 hours per week. Compensation includes shift differential and shift change pay. Vacation pay at 6% of base pay in lieu of vacation days. Statutory holiday pay for legislated holidays in BC.
