Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications •Must have a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field. •Must be licensed or be working toward licensure in the area of specialization. •Must be qualified to teach in the field of study. •Must be effective in teaching the assigned subject material. •Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience or equivalent in the practice area of study or as required by accreditation agencies. Job Specification Reports to:Chair of the Department of Psychology and Addiction Studies •Committed to teaching, service, professional growth, and scholarship excellence. •Teach five (15 credit hours) undergraduate and graduate online and face-to-face courses. •Serve as an academic advisor for undergraduate and graduate students. •Maintain required office hours of 10 face-to-face/online hours per week, and, during business hours, be attentive to departmental communications and flow of departmental work. •Submit course outlines, syllabi, and learning objectives. •Provide course instructions in accordance with the designated outline. •Utilizes a variety of proven teaching methods appropriate to the targeted domain of learning, •Evaluate students and report progress. •Participate in periodic review of course material. •Maintain appropriate expertise and competencies through continuing professional development and pursuit of scholarly activities. •Demonstrate knowledge of school goals and objectives. •Participate in faculty meetings and serve on all appropriate programs and college committees. •Maintain confidentiality in accordance with federal laws and program policy, •Represent the school in a professional manner in all activities. •Facilitate student research; PIL and thesis chair, and serve on thesis committees. •Develops graduate students' skill sets in intellectual and personality assessment. •Engage in research and other scholarly activities. •Submit articles in the area of specialization for publication in refereed journals. •Provide service to the department, university, and community. •Other duties as assigned by the department chair.
